In 2021, I developed the set design and costumes for a television theater production based on Aglaja Veteranyi's work, *Why the Child Is Cooking in the Polenta*, titled *Is There a Circus in Heaven?*.
This project was my Bachelor's thesis, completed at the Film Space Design Studio under the supervision of Dr. Marcel Sławiński an internationally acclaimed production designer, set decorator, and actor, recognized by prestigious film critics' groups, including the Academy and BAFTA Awards for the film *Ida*.The creation process was multifaceted, with the production of a short film playing a crucial role.I took on multiple roles, including director, set designer, costume designer, visual artist, and choreographer.
The overall project consists of the following pieces:
- 3D scenography model.
- Scenic visualizations in 3D technique.
- Projects using the technique of watercolors, pastels, and crayons.
- Pictures of scenography painting in the amount of 10 pieces.
- 10-character designs with psychological characteristics.
- Design of costumes for all characters.
- Execution of the designed costumes.
- Production of a short film presentation.
Creator Of The Entire Project
As the creator of the entire project, I was responsible for designing the production set, creating costumes, and constructing the physical space where the action took place.
My process began with conceptualizing the world I wanted to present, which required a deep understanding of props, set design, and costume design. My goal was to bring a vibrant, colorful world to life. I achieved this through meticulous direction of stage lighting, careful selection of props and decorations, and the creation of expressive costumes, along with extensive hair and makeup design for the actors. My work was awarded the highest grade, which subsequently led to multiple offers following my graduation from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
Below is evidence of my thesis defense the diploma I earned with this project.
